Solomon's Introduction

Dear Reader,

Solomon and his wife Rebecca at Lake Victoria

Welcome to the Geno Project. In simple terms the word translates to HOPE.

It is a Luo word. Luos occupy the Lake Victoria region in East and Central Africa.

As most things happen, the Geno Project started as an experiment. Paul and Solomon started educating one kid, then two then four. Today we have sixty six students in secondary schools and thirteen in Kenyan state universities.

Our biggest motivation was that we are not in any way related to these students. As we help them go through their education, we are surprisingly shocked that the human brains grow even faster compared to other parts of the body.

The boys and girls have addressed us when Paul and his family visit. We shed tears. I honestly do not know whether they are tears of joy or shock. Again we discovered the speeches become better as the students move to higher classes.

We invite you to join this team. Walk with us along this journey. Come loaded with ideas. We need you to move the Geno Project to the next level.  Donate funds to enable us to sponsor the education of these young, intelligent and bright brains.

When your candle is lit and you help light another person’s candle, you lose nothing. From my experience with my great friend Paul and his family, you end up gaining.

Please join this great caravan. Enjoy the peace. Enjoy the appreciation and recognition. These children will forever remember you. Let’s leave a legacy when we exit this great and challenging world.

God Bless

Solomon
